Standard vs. Server

Weibull++ 7 DE is available in two versions: Standard or Server.

Weibull++ 7 DE Standard

The Standard version allows the developer to integrate Weibull++ or its calculation/plotting engines into custom developed applications that operate in a user-interactive mode in a stand-alone environment. That is, the application must be installed on each user's computer and the user is expected to respond to error messages and other prompts.

In order for the Weibull++ DE functionality to work, each user must have Weibull++ 7 installed on his/her computer.

Weibull++ 7 DE Server

The Server version allows the developer to integrate Weibull++ or its calculation/plotting engines into custom developed applications that operate in user-interactive or silent mode in a client-server environment. (That is, the application must be Web-based or client-server and error messages/prompts can be handled automatically to allow for batch processing, if desired.)

Weibull++ 7 does not need to be installed on each user's computer. However, because it enables the distribution of Weibull++ functionality throughout the organization, the Server version is available ONLY to clients who have purchased an Unlimited-type license for Weibull++, such as Site, Division Wide, or Corporate Wide licenses.
